With the NFC Central title on the line, the Lions lost not only the championship but their first game at home, leaving Detroit out of the playoffs after dropping a 20-17 decision to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Lions outgained the Bucs in all statistical categories, but three Detroit drives inside the Tampa Bay 20 yard line were stopped scoreless.
