Amazing, color footage of the Lions and Redskins in 1943 set to period music. Most of the Redskins scoring plays were edited out as is often the case in coaches films, but nice still shot pictures with the results of the play have been added to fill the gaps. In this game, Sammy Baugh would set a record that will likely never be broken. He threw 4 touchdown passes and also intercepted 4 passes on defense! All that and he punts too! Washington was up 28-0 before Frank Sinkwich and the Lions rally to 28-20. The Redskins would eventually put them away, 42-20. |
