The Cowboys survive a real scare as the Falcons injured Roger Staubach and forced them to rely on their backup, Danny White. White played great and the Cowboys pulled out a close one. Roger Staubach was knocked out of the game in the first half with a concussion and backup quarterback-punter Danny White led the Cowboys back from a 20-13 defecit. A touchdown pass to Jackie Smith tied it. Following a pressured 10 yard Atlanta punt, the Cowboys took the lead on Scott Laidlaw`s touchdown run. Pat Summerall and Tom Brookshier have the call. |
