This is silent, color footage of just the offensive and special teams plays for the Hilltoppers. I was at this historic game as a Freshman. The first record set was 617 yards of total offense (556 rushing yds!) which broke a team record set in 1948. Also in this game, WKU`s QB Eddie Thompson ran for an NCAA record (on all levels) 309 yards rushing yards for a quarterback. Still, it took a blocked field goal on the last play of the game for WKU to put the Salukis away, 41-39. |
