39 points from Truck Robinson were not enough to get the win for the Jazz, as they lost to the Spurs on the road, 98-97. Larry Kenon led the way for San Antonio with 28 points.

During the first half, there are two brief cutaways. CBS left at a stoppage to go to commercial with the Spurs leading 14-10. They cut away to the Knicks at Celtics game, then came back to the Jazz at Spurs with the score 16-12. There is also a very brief cutaway to the 76ers at Suns game, but no scoring is missed in the Jazz-Spurs game.
