Runs just over twenty minutes, but features only the last six minutes of play. I would assume this is the only footage of the World Football League, the rebel league that featured such NFL defectors as Larry Csonka, Ken Stabler, Craig Morton, and John Gilliam.
A record crowd of 29,308 watched this great game in which Fire quarterback Virgil Carter led his team on an 88-yard drive in the last four minutes to set up a potential game-winning field goal with just seconds left and the score tied 22-22. |
