In what would be Joe Namath`s final game in New York, the Jets get clobbered by the Cincinnati Bengals to end a dismal season under Lou Holtz. Holtz had resigned just before this game to take the Arkansas job back in the college ranks. Namath would of course move on to the Los Angeles Rams for one more season. Ken Anderson would hit Isaac Curtis and Bob Trumpy on long touchdown passes and Chris Bahr kicked 4 field goals for the Bengals. Marty Glickman and Dave Herman have the call. |
