The Canadiens put an end to the Bruins` season, and eliminated the defending Stanley Cup champions. The Mighty Bruins were the favorites of ALL experts to win again in 1971!!! But Ken Dryden was in net for the Habs! The Bruins attack, led by the great Bobby Orr, had 48 shots against #29 in Game 7! Jacques Lemaire was everywhere with 3 assists. Frank Mahovlich 2g, 1a. And J-V Trembley 1g, 1a. Maybe the most crushîng lost in Bruins history. at the start of the series, nobody took the Canadiens wo win. Nobody! |
