In an important game that the Bengals needed to stop the 1983 season from spiraling out of control, they ended up losing their starting quarterback Ken Anderson when Keith Gary of the Steelers grabbed him by the facemask and pulled him down by it a little over 30 minutes into the game. The replay was hard to look at as Anderson`s neck and head was twisted around. He was down for close to five minutes and left with a neck brace. He would miss the next three games as a result. Another notable event in this game is that both teams combined for four defensive touchdowns with the Steelers having three of them. Frank Gifford, O.J. Simpson and Don Meredith have the call. |
