This was played on the eve of the threatened player strike of 1980 (a settlement was reached the next day, pushing off the strike until 1981). Has Harry Caray`s pre-game interview of the Twins` player rep Mike Marshall and Piersall`s post game interview Francisco Barrios and Sox trainer Herm Schneider. Typical rowdy Comiskey Veeck-era crowd, with haircuts and showers in the bleachers. Things take an R rated turn when a fan throws an inflatable woman onto the warning track during the bottom of the 8th inning, much to Piersall and Caray`s delight...ahhh, you can`t beat fun at the ol` ballpark, as Piersall states. |
