Reds 7 Yankees 2. Gary Nolan vs Ed Figueroa. This is a Fox Cincinnati Reds Rewind of the original NBC Broadcast. It has HD Bars on either side. Standard Def Recording. Postgame includes The Trophy Presentation with Reds Brass, Nippert and Howsome. It also includes interviews with Sparky Anderson, Pete Rose, Joe Morgan and Johnny Bench. The Big Red Machine sets a modern day standard with Hitting, Speed, Power and Great Defence, along with an underrated pitching staff. The Reds batted 9-.300 caliber hitters with The DH in this series. Featured Legitimate Power Hitters in Morgan, Perez, Foster and Beench. Had all but one starter in double figures in steals for the season. The also had perennial gold glovers up the middle of the field with C-Bench, 2B-Morgan, SS-Concepcion and CF-Geronimo. They were the first team to sweep the entire post season since the advent of playoffs in 69. The Yankees weren`t a bad team, just in the way of destiny. |
