The Giants knew that Philadelphia could be attacked on the ground and that`s just what they did. So much in fact, that Butch Woolfolk set the all-time mark for rushing attempts in a game with 43. This record would stand for five years until another Michigan player (Jamie Morris) would break it. This also was a complete defensive game for the Giants as they shut out the Eagles who used all three quarterbacks (Jaworski, Picarcik and Pastorini). One of the few bright spots in a three win season for New York. Dan Pastorini throws his last two passes of his 12 year NFL career in this game. Jack Buck and Hank Stram have the call. |
