Comments: The Browns needed a win over Pittsburgh in the season finale and they got it, but Seattle`s win over New England kept them out of the playoffs. Brian Sipe threw four touchdown passes in his final game ever as a Cleveland Brown. He would go to the USFL in 1984. Jack Lambert was ejected for a late hit on Sipe in the 3rd quarter and Franco Harris broke the 1,000 yard mark for the 8th straight (and last) time which was an NFL record. Finally, this would end up being the last NFL game Bob Costas would call play by play for as he moved to NBC Studios beginning in 1984. Bob Costas and Bob Trumpy have the call.
