Comments: Pre-Game includes The NFL Today with Brent Musburger, Dick Vermeil and Jim Brown in the studio. Which includes a nice feature on RB Gerald Riggs and a GREAT feature on Joe Montana`s struggles in 1985. Which includes an interview from earlier in the week by Dick Vermiel and Joe Montana and Bill Walsh. Montana even addresses allegations of drug abuse. This is an electric game at RFK that is called by Madden/Summeral and starts with a 96 Yard TD Kick off return by the Niners. Great quality. This is a 1985 week 13 matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Washington Redskins at RFK Stadium. Carl Monroe ran back the opening kickoff giving the 49ers the lead and they never looked back. Washington cut the lead to 7-5 when Joe Montana was called for intentional grounding in the end zone but that was about it for the Redskins as the 49ers won 35-8. Jay Schroeder put up 348 yards passing and Art Monk 150 yards receiving in the loss.
