COWBOYS 20 49ERS 17 OT
Chris Boniol kicked a 29 yard field goal with 8:45 left in overtime giving the Dallas Cowboys a 20-17 victory over the San Francisco 49ers at 3Com Park. Troy Aikman completed 24 of 39 passes for 230 yards with one touchdown and one interception. The touchdown was a six yarder to Eric Bjornson, who had a game high eight catches. Aikman also scored on a three yard run. Emmitt Smith rushed 26 times for a game high 81 yards. Michael Irvin caught six balls for 88 yards. Steve Young connected on a 29 yard touchdown pass to Iheanyi Uwaezuoke before leaving the game with a concussion. Young was 7 of 13 for 83 yards while he was in there. Elvis Grbac finished the game for the 49ers going 10 of 17 for 88 yards. Terry Kirby scored on a 27 yard run and Jeff Wilikins kicked a 28 yard field goal for the other 49er scores. |
