Comments: This is a 1977 week 13 matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and the Oakland Raiders at the Oakland Coliseum. This was the first meeting between the teams since the Raiders pounded the Vikings 32-14 in Super Bowl XI. The Vikings gave Tommy Kramer his first NFL start after coming off the bench and leading the Vikings to a come from behind victoty against the 49ers the week before. Mark van Eeghen led the Raiders with 112 yards rushing in the victory. Ken Stabler threw two touchdown passes to Cliff Branch to lead the Raiders to a 35-13 win over Minnesota that clinched a wild card spot in the playoffs. The Vikings trailed 21-0 before the game was eight minutes old. They fumbled three times inside in their own 20. Oakland began the game with a 70-yard touchdown drive, with Mark van Eeghen scoring on a two-yard run. Van Eeghen was the leading rusher in the game with 112 yards on 28 carries while Chuck Foreman was held to 48 on 11 carries.
