The New York Knicks rally from a 2-0 deficit to beat the Celtics in Boston for the first time since 1984. Not only that, they eliminated them from Playoff contention. Patrick Ewing led the way with 31 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists and four blocked shots. Also, Charles Oakley had 26 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. For Boston, Larry Bird had 31 points and nine rebounds, while Dennis Johnson recorded 21 points and 10 assists, Robert Parish’s 22 points and Reggie Lewis’ 19 points. Also for Boston, Kevin McHale had 17 points. |
