Comments: The Saints and Falcons battle for the playoffs in the final week of the strike-shortened 82 season. New Orleans dominated the action with Ken Stabler turning it loose often and Wayne Wilson scored three touchdowns. The Saints let it all hang out as they even faked a punt and scored on a pass from Russell Erxleben! All that still wasn`t enough to help the Saints clinch their first playoff appearance however. One of the interesting notes about this game is the field at the Superdome. The Sugar Bowl between Penn State and Georgia was played the previous night so the emblem at the 50 still showed the Sugar Bowl and the end zones had the names of the two college teams. Jim Kelly and John Dockery have the call.
