Dave Krieg threw two touchdown passes and Barry Sanders rushed for 188 yards and scored from 13 yards out as the Detroit Lions defeated the Green Bay Packers 34-31 at the Silverdome. Krieg completed 18 of 30 passes for 196 yards. He connected on touchdown passes 24 yards to Herman Moore and one yard to Scott Conover. Sanders rushed for 188 yards on just 20 carries and caught three passes for another 17 yards. The game featured 6 lead changes and over 800 yards of total offense. Brett Favre completed 29 of 43 for 366 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. Sterling Sharpe led all receivers with ten catches for 115 yards with one touchdown. Anthony Morgan added six catches for 103 yards and had two touchdowns. |
