| Comments: |
The most controversial loss in WKU basketball history. With Western up 1 with little time remaining, a jump ball was called. On the jump, Western`s Dwight Smith was called for a foul on Michigan`s Cazzie Russell sending him to the line. He made both free throws and the Wolverines hung on for the win. |
