COWBOYS 34 GIANTS 28
This is a GREAT NFC East Battle! After being shredded by the Cowboys in the first half The NY Giants put up 28 unanswerd points in the 2nd half to make it a game! The NY crowd goes Beserk as Phil Simms plays out of his head own the 2nd half.
The Dallas Cowboys led 34-0 and then held on to defeat the New York Giants 34-28 at Giants Stadium. Emmitt Smith scored from five yards out, Robert Williams returned a blocked punt three yards for a touchdown and Lin Elliot kicked two field goals as the Cowboys led 20-0. Add two Troy Aikman touchdown passes and the Cowboys led 34-0 in the third quarter. Rodney Hampton scored from five yards out starting a fierce Giant rally that would come up just short. Phil Simms would throw three touchdowns, two in the fourth quarter but it wasn`t enough as Dallas hung on 34-28. Aikman finished 22 of 35 for 238 yards with two touchdowns, while Simms was 25 of 42 for 273 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. Smith led all rushers with 89 yards on 23 carries. |
