WPG 28, HAM 27 - "FOG BOWL" - Winnipeg had a 28-27 lead over Hamilton when with 9 mins left, the officials called the game due to the fog that had persisted throughout. Accounts of the thickness of the fog may or may not have been exaggerated depending on who you talk to. However, the CTV play-by-play did account `... the handoff to so and so ... and he diappears into the fog ...` The last 9 mins were played the following day. There was no further scoring - or fog. |
