During a blowout of Fordham, quarterback Tago Smith was injured. Just before halftime, a Navy assistant came to where freshman Malcolm Perry was sitting in the stands with his company and told him to change out of his whites and get his uniform for the second half. He would contribute and play late in the 3rd quarter and into the 4th quarter. According to records, Perry is the first ever Midshipman to march with the brigade prior to kickoff and then see game action. John Sadak and Randy Cross have the call. |
