In what was supposed to be the final Orange Bowl game at the Orange Bowl Stadium, the eighth-ranked Florida State Seminoles defeat the sixth-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish by the score of 31-26. The actual final Orange Bowl game at the Orange Bowl Stadium was in 1999, when Syracuse played Florida, due to a conflict at Joe Robbie Stadium for a NFL Playoff game between the Bills and the Dolphins. |
