This was a tight game for most of it - it was tied 2-2 well into the third period. The Flyers scored three goals late, including one from goalie Ron Hextall who shot into the open Bruins net. Hextall was the first goalie to truly score - Billy Smith of the Islanders was credited with a goal when the other team scored an "own goal".
