The opening game of the `85 season was one of the hottest on record with temps on the field at Riverfront Stadium reaching 119 degrees. Ken Anderson, in his 15th season, started the game but was pulled in favor of Turk Schonert for reasons unknown. This game also marked the return to good health for Curt Warner who had missed all of the 1984 season after a knee injury in the opener. He would score the winning touchdown in this one. Don Criqui and Bob Trumpy have the call. |
