The Giants have lost in some painful ways to the Eagles over the years, but this has to rank up there with the worst. After the Giants had blocked a field goal attempt in overtime, the ball was recovered by the Eagles and advanced for a touchdown. Bill Parcells ran across the field and yelled adamantly that the ball could not be advanced. The official ruled it a fumble recovery behind the line of scrimmage which can be advanced and said game over. In the final moments of the footage, LT was seen consoling a teammate of his who was on the bench with his head down and LT ran the cameraman off who was trying to get photos of that moment. Pat Summerall and John Madden have the call. Missing the second half opening kickoff. |
