The Cardinals hang on despite making one of the worst calls I`ve ever seen late in the game. With just over a minute to play and the Bears without timeouts, the Cardinals actually passed the ball! It fell incomplete and left the Bears with time on the clock. Chicago worked it to the Cardinals 33 when Walter Payton made a blunder himself by trying to get extra yards instead of running out of bounds. Time ran out and the Cardinals escaped with the win. Frank Gleiber and Johnny Morris have the call. |
