No two teams had ever taken a longer road to the Super Bowl. The Dolphins arrived boosted by the #1 Defense in the NFL and the Redskins with the #2 defense in the league. The Skins` also had a dominating ground game led by John Riggins. Miami got off to a quick start but it was the Skins and MVP Riggins who sealed the deal late by wearing down Miami with it`s running game. All this helped Washington take home it`s first SB Title. Joe (The Mouth) Theismann also passed for two TD`s in this very competitive Super Bowl. Personally one of my favorite SB`s of all time. |
